A model project for sustainable energy supply<\/h2>\n\n

The Biebergem\u00fcnd supply centre sets new standards in the use of sustainable energy. With an impressive output of 300 kW peak from photovoltaic systems installed on roof surfaces and car park roofs, the building is operated almost self-sufficiently in terms of electricity. It is particularly noteworthy that the first LUNA2000-200kWh C&I commercial storage system from Huawei FusionSolar delivered in Germany was used in this project – a milestone for the industry.<\/p>\n\n

The first of these two state-of-the-art commercial storage facilities was successfully installed and commissioned in April 2024. The delivery and commissioning of the second storage system followed shortly afterwards and was documented for you by our team using a camera. Both storage systems not only ensure efficient peak load management and the supply of emergency power, but also enable the optimal utilisation of self-generated energy.<\/p>\n\n

Technology meets practice<\/h2>\n\n

The installation and commissioning of the storage systems<\/a> was supervised by Wattkraft’s experienced technicians: from the assembly of the housing and installation of the battery modules to the cabling of all components. Software commissioning was carried out in the technical room, including firmware updates and integration into the smart logger system. Special safety features such as fire detectors and water level sensors round off the system and ensure long-term safe operation.<\/p>\n\n

Sustainability as a guiding principle<\/h2>\n\n

The commercial property, built in sustainable timber frame construction and in the highest efficiency class KfW 40+, houses a bakery, a bank and a veterinary practice, among other things. With its own transformer station and charging points – including three 150 kW fast-charging columns – the VZB is setting standards in terms of e-mobility and infrastructure in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n

A look into the future<\/h2>\n\n

The development is far from complete: A third building is planned for the coming year, which will increase the total output of the PV system by 150 kWp. The project shows how renewable energies can make a decisive contribution to regional security of supply.<\/p>\n\n
