Intersolar Europe 2026: One of Wattkraft’s Most Successful Trade Fair Appearances to Date

Three days of innovation, collaboration and meaningful conversations
Intersolar Europe 2026 is now behind us – and once again, Europe’s leading exhibition for the solar industry demonstrated why it remains one of the most important meeting places for the international energy sector. From 23 to 25 June, Munich brought together manufacturers, installers, EPCs, project developers, investors and energy professionals from around the world to exchange ideas, discover new technologies and discuss the future of sustainable energy.
For Wattkraft, Intersolar Europe 2026 was far more than a trade fair. It was a place to strengthen partnerships, create new business opportunities and showcase integrated energy solutions. With a continuously busy booth throughout all three exhibition days, fully booked guided tours and countless technical discussions, this year’s event became one of the most successful trade fair appearances in our company’s history.
“For us, Intersolar Europe has always been much more than a product exhibition. It is where people meet, ideas evolve and long-term partnerships grow. Welcoming so many customers, partners and industry professionals to our booth once again confirms our ambition to deliver not only products, but complete energy solutions together with our partners.”
Mike Renner, Managing Director, Wattkraft GmbH
A booth designed to make integrated energy solutions tangible
Once again, Wattkraft focused on presenting complete energy ecosystems rather than individual products.
Dedicated exhibition areas for Residential, Commercial & Industrial, Utility, EV Charging and Solutions guided visitors through the entire Huawei FusionSolar portfolio. Large-scale graphics, clearly structured system visualisations and selected hardware exhibits helped explain even complex energy concepts in an intuitive and practical way.
The positive feedback from visitors confirmed the success of this approach. While individual products could be explored in greater detail at Huawei’s booth nearby, Wattkraft concentrated on demonstrating how photovoltaic systems, battery storage, charging infrastructure and intelligent energy management interact to form complete, future-proof energy systems.

Open, welcoming and designed for conversations
The open layout of the booth once again proved to be one of its greatest strengths.
Our spacious hospitality bar quickly became a popular meeting point for customers, partners and visitors, while the lounge areas and seating zones encouraged spontaneous conversations throughout the day. For confidential project discussions, four dedicated meeting rooms and an additional private meeting area were available and remained busy throughout the exhibition.
Combined with an outstanding catering service, professional hostesses and the commitment of the entire Wattkraft team, the result was an inviting atmosphere that encouraged networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
This balance between technical expertise and genuine hospitality made the Wattkraft booth one of the busiest and most welcoming destinations in Hall C1.

Innovations across every market segment
One of the main attractions of the booth was the presentation of Huawei FusionSolar’s latest technologies across all major application areas.
Residential: Greater flexibility for homeowners
Within the Residential segment, Wattkraft showcased the latest evolution of the Huawei LUNA2000-S1 energy storage system. The introduction of the new 5 kWh battery module provides installers and homeowners with even greater flexibility when configuring storage capacities, allowing residential systems to be tailored more precisely to individual energy requirements.
The strong interest in these solutions once again highlighted the growing demand for intelligent storage systems and greater energy independence in residential applications.

Commercial & Industrial: Mehr Leistung und höhere Speicherkapazitäten
In the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment, the focus was on the next generation of intelligent commercial energy storage.
Particular attention was given to the new Huawei LUNA2000-241kWh, featuring an improved cell technology that delivers increased storage capacity and even higher system efficiency. Designed specifically for demanding commercial and industrial applications, the system helps businesses maximise self-consumption, optimise load management and significantly reduce energy costs.
Together with Huawei FusionSolar’s intelligent energy management platform, Wattkraft demonstrated how photovoltaic generation, battery storage and additional electrical loads can be combined into highly efficient integrated energy systems. This holistic approach attracted significant interest from EPCs, installers and commercial project developers.

Utility: Die nächste Generation netzgekoppelter Großanlagen
The Utility area focused on large-scale battery storage and next-generation grid infrastructure.
Visitors showed great interest in the new Huawei LUNA2000-5015-2S, a powerful battery energy storage solution developed for utility-scale photovoltaic plants and grid applications.
Another major highlight was the introduction of FusionSolar 9.0, Huawei’s next-generation utility platform for the European market. FusionSolar 9.0 represents the evolution from today’s 800 V AC architecture to a more powerful 1,000 V AC platform, enabling higher efficiency, greater scalability and improved overall system performance for utility-scale solar projects.
Combined with the new SUN2000-506KTL, Huawei’s most powerful string inverter for utility applications, as well as intelligent transformer stations and advanced grid-support functions, the platform forms a comprehensive solution for the next generation of utility-scale photovoltaic power plants. We will take a closer look at FusionSolar 9.0 and its technological innovations in a dedicated technical article soon.

EV-Charging: Die intelligente One-Stop Solution für Elektromobilität
Electromobility was another key focus at the Wattkraft booth.
Visitors experienced Huawei’s new One-Stop Solution, a fully integrated energy ecosystem combining photovoltaic generation, AC and DC battery storage, ultra-fast DC charging infrastructure and intelligent energy management within one coordinated platform. This integrated approach simplifies installation, operation and maintenance while maximising energy efficiency, operational reliability and economic performance.
A key component of the solution is the new DC-coupled battery storage system, specifically designed for high-power charging applications. By supplying energy directly on the DC side of the charging infrastructure, it enables higher and more stable charging performance even where grid connection capacity is limited.
The result is an intelligent, perfectly coordinated charging ecosystem in which solar generation, battery storage, charging infrastructure and energy management operate seamlessly together — all from a single supplier.

Fully booked guided booth tours
Another highlight of our exhibition programme was the series of guided booth tours.
All tours on both exhibition days were fully booked. Participants received practical insights into Huawei FusionSolar’s latest solutions while discussing their individual projects directly with Wattkraft’s product specialists.
The combination of technical expertise, practical demonstrations and open discussion was exceptionally well received and confirmed the growing demand for holistic energy solutions and expert consultation throughout the industry.

More than a trade fair – bringing the international solar industry together
While innovative technologies attracted significant attention throughout the exhibition, Intersolar Europe 2026 was, above all, about people and partnerships.
Over the course of three days, our team welcomed customers, installers, EPCs, project developers and business partners from across Europe and beyond. Long-standing relationships were strengthened, new connections were established and countless conversations opened the door to future collaborations.
For Wattkraft’s international teams, the exhibition also provided a valuable opportunity to come together in person. These cross-border exchanges are an essential part of who we are as a European company and one of the many reasons why Intersolar Europe remains such an important event every year.
A particularly memorable moment was the invitation of our Iberian team to the Huawei stage, where Huawei recognised the successful collaboration and shared achievements of the past year during a special appreciation ceremony.
Another highlight took place directly at the Wattkraft booth, where our Benelux team and their partner Zonneklaar celebrated a formal signing ceremony. The event, followed by a commemorative presentation, demonstrated once again that Intersolar Europe is not only a showcase for innovation but also the ideal place to strengthen partnerships and celebrate shared success.

Official launches of next-generation technologies
Beyond our own booth, Intersolar Europe 2026 featured several important technology launches from Huawei Digital Power.
Our EV Charging team attended the official launch of Huawei’s new DC-coupled battery energy storage system, designed specifically for high-power charging infrastructure. By combining battery storage and fast-charging technology within one intelligent architecture, the solution enables more efficient and economically viable charging parks.
Huawei also introduced LUTERRA, its next-generation Energy Storage System (ESS) platform.
For utility-scale applications, LUTERRA introduces an innovative design in which battery storage units are connected directly to specially developed transformer stations via integrated busbars. By eliminating conventional cable connections between the battery system and transformer, installation becomes significantly faster while reducing complexity on site.
Huawei also presented LUTERRA S2 for residential applications. The modular plug-and-play platform combines battery modules of either 5 kWh or 7 kWh with a top-mounted inverter, allowing highly flexible system configurations. Each storage tower can accommodate up to four battery modules and one inverter, while three-phase systems can be expanded by combining multiple towers into larger storage configurations. Inverters ranging from 5 kW to 20 kW provide additional flexibility for different residential requirements.
Together with the new FusionSolar 9.0 platform, these innovations underline Huawei’s strategy of delivering scalable, integrated energy solutions across residential, commercial and utility applications.

“Watt a Win” became a visitor favourite
Innovation was not the only attraction at our booth. Our “Watt a Win” raffle proved to be one of the exhibition’s most popular activities, attracting a constant stream of visitors throughout the three days.
The highlight of the raffle was the chance to win one of two exclusive FusionSolar-branded e-scooters, which generated tremendous interest among visitors.
Participants also had the opportunity to win one of 50 exclusive Huawei FusionCharge EV Charging building bricks sets in Wattkraft branding, our engraved #LiquidCooled reusable drinking cups, as well as a wide range of additional giveaways.
The raffle created a lively atmosphere and sparked many additional conversations, perfectly reflecting our ambition to combine technical expertise with an engaging visitor experience.

Celebrating partnerships beyond the exhibition halls
After an eventful second exhibition day, it was time to continue the conversations in a more relaxed setting.
Our traditional Wattkraft Evening Event brought together colleagues, customers, partners and long-standing companions of the company for an enjoyable evening in Munich.
Away from the busy exhibition halls, the event provided the perfect opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, build new connections and celebrate another successful day together. These shared experiences remind us that Intersolar Europe is about much more than technology. It is about trust, collaboration and the people who are driving the energy transition forward every day.

“Intersolar Europe 2026 clearly demonstrated how rapidly the commercial and industrial energy market continues to evolve. The strong interest in our guided tours and integrated system concepts confirms that customers are increasingly looking for complete, intelligently connected energy solutions rather than individual components. This is exactly where we see the future of the industry.”
